Hi, I’m Sukhdeep Singh Saini.
I’m a Solution Architect at Nestlé in Milan, where I’ve spent the last five years designing and delivering enterprise cloud strategy across Azure, AWS, and GCP. My work spans large-scale endpoint migrations, identity management, container microservices, data platform modernisation, and the infrastructure decisions that keep a global organisation running.
But infrastructure is only half the story. I’m increasingly focused on what happens after the cloud is built — how we move, transform, and make sense of data at scale. At Nestlé, I’ve led the migration of ServiceNow data to Snowflake for data lake and warehousing capabilities. At Visy Industries, I engineered data stream pipelines with Apache Kafka (Connect and Streams) and built log analytics with machine learning on an Elastic stack. Data engineering isn’t something I’m pivoting toward — it’s something I’ve been doing alongside cloud architecture for years.
That said, I’m deepening that expertise deliberately. I’m currently pursuing a Professional Master’s in Data Science and Business Analytics at Bologna Business School (expected April 2027), and actively building with Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and the modern lakehouse stack.
Before Nestlé, I spent three years as a Microsoft Premier Field Engineer in Singapore, working with enterprise customers on Azure architecture, identity, and endpoint strategy. Before that, I was a Solution Architect at Visy Industries (Singapore) and Prudential Services, designing Azure and AWS solutions and managing infrastructure across the APAC region. My career started at Microsoft India and Dell, where I cut my teeth on SCCM, system engineering, and escalation support.
Over 17 years, I’ve worked across 15 countries — from India to Singapore, Australia, Norway, the UK, the US, and now Italy. That global exposure has taught me that the best architecture isn’t just technically sound — it has to work for people across cultures, time zones, and business contexts.
This blog
This is where I document what I’m learning and what I’ve built. You’ll find posts on cloud architecture, data pipelines, Terraform automation, Docker and Kubernetes, NLP and machine learning, and the occasional deep dive into PowerShell or SQL. Some posts are polished tutorials; others are working notes from the field.
